Waukegan, IL police investigate second violent murder in two days - As diversity kills another suburb - Black Male - Gaylord Davis & Illegal Beaner Female Elpidia Munoz-Garcia murdered in separate shootings

Waukegan police have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a man whose body was found on a street in the north suburb early Saturday.

Gaylord Davis, 49, of the 2200 block of Marshall Parkway in Waukegan, was found by a passerby about 3 a.m. at 9th and Prescott streets.

The Lake County coroner's office determined that he had experienced trauma to his body, and the Waukegan police are treating the death as a homicide, Waukegan police Cmdr. Joe Florip said in a release Sunday.

Neither police nor the coroner would be specific about the nature of the trauma.
