A photo-shoppped image circulating among cops shows Mayor de Blasio as a puppetmaster with the challengers to PBA head Patrick Lynch as the puppets on his strings.

The crude image being sent via text message — a sign that the battle for leadership of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association is getting nasty — also mocks First Lady Chirlane McCray.

It shows a laughing de Blasio holding images of the challengers, led by Brooklyn PBA trustee Brian Fusco, on a string.

“You don’t want a apology do you my puppets[?},” the grammatically challenged caption reads.

Some police union leaders had demanded an apology from the mayor, citing a string of alleged affronts, and Lynch said it would help open a dialogue.
