DRIVING WHILE BLACK #2 - 1 hurt after car slams into house on Chicago's Far South Side

A colored man was injured after he smashed a car into a house in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side early Friday morning, authorities said.

The man struck a red-brick home with his car in the 800 block of West 107th Street around 1 a.m., police said.

The driver was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and his condition was not immediately unknown, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.

The impact knocked out several bricks from the front wall of the one-and-a-half-story house, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford. But the overall structure looked stable, Langford said.
