DALLAS – A video of a hip-shaking high school teacher and his students dancing to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” has gone viral.
Scot Pankey, a theater director at A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School, recruited students to be his backup dancers to create this incredibly choreographed dance video.
Pankey decided this would be the students’ first project of the new year, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The video was completed in a single take and shot by students.
The YouTube description posted with the video reads: “This is a great example of how a bunch of technology students let go of their fears, trusted their teacher and got down to Uptown Funk!!!”
The video has been seen over 219,000 times and that number continues to grow.
