SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Southfield Police say a shot was fired inside the Star Theater Friday night.
It happened at the AMC Star Theater on 12 Mile and Telegraph.
According to police, it started as a verbal alternation between two men inside a theater right before a movie started. Then, one of the men, a 24-year-old, fired a shot.
According to police, the 24-year-old says the other man started to pull a gun, so that's why he fired a shot. The alleged victim then took off.
We're told the man who fired the shot did have a concealed weapons permit.
Police believe no one was injured in the shooting and say no blood was found at the scene. They did find a shell casing and a bullet in the wall.
The theater is closed for the rest of the night.
