COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — Internet prankster VonMar is asking fans to visit him in jail after prosecutors upgraded charges in hisNew Year's Day ransacking case.
The 24-year-old prankster, born Delvon Lamar Irving, was arrested Jan. 7after he filmed himself trashing a Gold Coast 7-Eleven, 45 E. Chicago Ave., on Jan. 1. In the video, which has more than 5 million views, VonMar and a pal taunt store clerks, jump on merchandise and run off with a coffee urn.
Police said it wasn't hard to catch up with VonMar — since he frequently filmed himself — and the Alsip resident was charged with felony theft and misdemeanor damage to property.
